When it’s both #IndieBookstoreDay and #Caturday you read your most recent purchase with your cat. I read this earlier this year, but needed my own copy-a survival guide for the current situation in the US. #BookSky #NowReading #ReadingIsSexy #FightFascism #OnTyranny

Rebecca Ross creates the most interesting worlds and this was packed with intriguing ideas and characters, both mortal and gods. Great story telling 🖤

I still remember taking a drive with a friend to listen to a new band he had discovered—do kids still do that or do they just share music via text?

By the time we got to “Waterfall” I was hooked. What a killer debut.

Could I but ride indefinite,
As doth the meadow-bee,
And visit only where I liked,
And no man visit me,

And flirt all day with buttercups,
And marry whom I may,
And dwell a little everywhere,
Or better, run away

Switching things up with some historical fiction. This was an excellent read about a group of “housewives” in the early 1960s who form a book club to read “The Feminine Mystique” and the unexpected ways their lives change over a year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #BookSky #ListeningIsReadingToo

#PattiSmith may have inevitably grown up from that young innocent Chicago girl but her debut album has remained timeless and incomparable. Original, inspiring and symbolic, few albums have or will have such importance as Horses.

Chappell Roan is an inspired choice to induct Cyndi Lauper into the #rockhall, and has dressed appropriately for the occasion. She's talking about singing "True Colors" at a school talent show growing up.

Incidentally, for inexplicable reasons, Lauper is not yet in the WWE Hall of Fame.

I voted today and also finished this modern take on Jane Eyre that had a few surprises, but I knew had to end with a fire. Worth a read if you like suspense and updated Bronte.

No one does speculative gothic fiction like Isabel Cañas. I love how her books are so entrenched in specific periods of Mexican history and also so cinematic. This one was no exception. Though I still think Vampires of El Norte is my favorite. Give them all a read.

They 👏 are 👏 breaking 👏 the 👏 law.

Two judges have just ordered that the Trump Administration must release funds for SNAP benefits. The GOP and Admin trying to use hungry kids as political leverage is beyond morally reprehensible. And it’s against the law.
