So grandpa is building a fortress and calling it a ballroom. The whole point of an outdoor inauguration is to allow the people to witness and take part. He wants a private party.

“What became clear in 2025 is that technology cannot be treated as a niche topic in armed conflict. Instead, it has become a core lens through which [law of armed conflict] itself is re-examined.”
2025 brought a stress-testing of #LOAC & the int. community. It was a sustained inquiry into whether the laws of war can meaningfully constrain violence in an age of strategic competition, technological acceleration & protracted conflict & if so, how. lieber.westpoint.edu/year-in-revi...

Rob Schneider, now’s your chance.
Issa Rae has canceled her sold out performance at the Kennedy Center. Pulitzer Prize winner Rhiannon Giddens, Peter Wolf, Low Cut Connie, and the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, D.C., have also canceled. Lin-Manuel Miranda has canceled the entire Kennedy Center run of Hamilton.

The danger of treating “miscarriage and stillbirth as suspicious events rather than personal, medical experiences,” is that in the 2 years after the Dobbs decision, more than 400 people have been charged with pregnancy-related crimes, including 31 who had a pregnancy loss.

The reason people are having fewer children today isn’t because getting pregnant is too expensive. It’s because it’s too expensive in that “post-birth” phase (not to mention no paid parental leave and a lack of housing and health insurance options). It’s…complicated.
“Trump babies” is a phrase I never needed to hear, and would prefer to never hear again.

In 2023 I became obsessed with videos of dads in cargo shortswaiting in parking lots during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. So when she came to town, I grabbed a camera and headed down to talk to them. I thought it'd be funny. It turned out to be something else entirely.

The cool thing about Shaedon is that he’s the chillest dude in the NBA, but then saves all his adrenaline for these dunks. I love how he screams “FUCK, MAN” afterwards, like someone just shot him with a dose of Narcan.
