Schumer needs to be out as Minority Leader by the end of this week. He can't keep his caucus united and he obviously blessed this vote while providing himself cover for a no vote. Chris Murphy is a definite contender. Who else? #fireSchumer

Lots of reporting on SNAP getting the details wrong.

SNAP is not set to run out of money on November 1. There’s money in the contingency fund to pay benefits.

The Trump admin is illegally refusing to deliver benefits on November 1, despite having funding to pay benefits.

Just to be clear who’s to blame for SNAP cutoff:

1. Trump admin claims that a $5B emergency fund can’t be used for it.

2. Thune said Trump wants to use SNAP cutoff as leverage.

3. 22 Dem states filed a lawsuit about it.

4. Dems willing to join many Rs for SNAP bill but Thune is blocking vote.

Trump is throwing 15 million Americans off health care.

He's doubling premiums for 20 million Americans.

Now, he's refusing to use a $5 billion emergency SNAP fund to keep 16 million kids from going hungry.

But the 1% keep $1 trillion in tax breaks.

Oligarchy in action.

Let’s be honest: there have already been several bizarre moments from Trump this morning alone that would justify invoking the 25th Amendment.

He is a seriously unwell individual.

A show of force so he can militarize our cities because of the 2026 elections.

Illegal tariffs, rescissions of bipartisan funds, people being snatched off the street and denied due process, defunding health care to pay for billionaire tax breaks. I'm GLAD the Dems are standing strong and not voting for any of this garbage.

America First. Really?

Trump says we have to throw 15 million Americans off healthcare and significantly raise ACA premiums because we don’t have enough money.

But somehow we have $20 billion to bailout the right-wing regime of Argentina?

We can’t let that happen.
The U.S. is in talks to provide Argentina with a $20 billion swap line to help contain financial upheaval and support President Javier Milei’s free-market overhaul, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said.
