The Artful Dodgerish scamp behind the perspex in the Spar recommended a new line - Magnum Tonic Wine - tonight, so I obliged.

A stubby bottle of Jamaican loopy juice (16.5% abv) that's as sweet and cherry-ish as Boots cough linctus. Apparently, it contains "Vigorton 2" so it must be good for me.

I've not got my copy yet but it was a great pleasure to write about #TroubleBound (1993) and, even more, to have the profound honour of director #JeffreyReiner fielding my questions about the film. Assembling the article was my own little tribute to #MichaelMadsen
Enjoying @krycekfacility.bsky.social 's article on "sharply written and stylishly shot" TROUBLE BOUND (1993) starring #MichaelMadsen and #PatriciaArquette in latest issue of NOIR CITY magazine.

Nip onto Amaz*n Video for a weekend movie deal to find shoddy 70s exploitation 'classic' SS Experiment Camp (later banned as a so-called video nasty in the 80s) available free on Prime. A triumph not of the will, but of lurid poster and undeniable bad taste. Reader, I rented Sisu 2 instead.
a man with a beard is standing in front of a sign that says sisu
Alt: Jorma Tommila as Aatami Korpi in Sisu 2, AKA Sisu: Road To Revenge. A badass soaked in the blood of Nazis, now about to get a second dish of revenge, this time on the Soviet Army. All of it.
