Retirement is amazing! Grandma, proud Minnesotan, campground host, volunteer, traveler, nature-lover, leguminati, and rose-colored glasses optimist, even now.

I found this in my memory box from the 1960s when i was a Bluebird ( young Campfire girl). Looking at it now, i can see that it has been my philosophy of life all these years.
This is the locus of our current situation.
This should be a clear focus for Dems.
The concentration of wealth and resulting power imbalance is killing community/social good.
What would be a good, simple phrase that captures this to put on blast and repeat?
At the risk of sounding like I have an omnicause, but: we got a lot of problems in the current moment, and it’s amazing how many of them are rooted in things like “the rise of leveraged buyouts and private equity in the late 70s and early 80s.”
i need to admit something. the more i think about how many of our problems are downstream of a very small number of ppl and organizations hoarding all the wealth and power, the less interested i am in discussions of american democracy that prefer to focus on anything else.

DOGE!
Where are you now?
Here is the waste, fraud and particularly, the abuse you were supposed to be looking for!
In other words, the vast majority of the $45 billion in reconciliation funding is going to go to the new system of warehouse detention camps.

The other $6.8 billion will presumably serve mainly to keep the existing system of detention running without any other major changes.
"ICE plans to spend $38.3 billion turning warehouses into detention centers."

Senate Democrats: Do not appropriate any more funds for ICE.

We should all be following these obscene warehouse developments so we can protest loudly and stop them.
If you’re tracking the warehouse developments, @projectsaltbox.bsky.social is a must-follow. Doing great work!
🚨ICE just got access to one of its biggest private detention center operators last night, thanks to a Navy contract.

Based on open source news reporting and FOIA documents procured by the ACLU, we have updated our ICE Warehouse Tracker to include formerly closed detention centers that ICE is looking at reopening. Those now show up as purple pins on the map.

In a moment that calls for courage, we get this:
Gallup announces, after 88 years, it will no longer track public approval of presidents. Trump's second-term approval rating fell to 36% in December, among the lowest ever recorded by the company. The president repeatedly has threatened to sue media and polling firms that portray him negatively.

The fact that they covered them with a sheet is concerning, are they hiding their injuries or lying about them being alive?
Video of the ICE-kidnapping victim under a sheet. You will also hear the officer say he saw them moving. I am inclined to believe the person was alive.

This, exactly! That is why. As Bad Bunny (and others) have said-in the end love is more powerful than hate.
It has struck me that the good people of this nation are showing us joy, humor, and art, while the ruling kakistocracy and its rich protectors are grim and miserable. We can help ourselves by being joyful and optimistic, and we will prevail.
