Interesting aspect of this one: Trump had argued his decisions on the Guard were effectively unreviewable by the courts. Apparently, SCOTUS isn’t quite ready to put itself completely out of business.

This struck me too. As Anne Applebaum doesn’t mention, she wrote a classic history of the Gulag.
The CBS investigation portrays a modern concentration camp, similar to the Soviet GULAG (like CECOT, an acronym): sadistic guards, 24 hour lighting, isolation cells.

Ugh! There is a reason we withhold many important life decisions from minors, in fact, for some things into their early 20s.... yet we want to imprison them for life for making bad decisions with criminal consequences.
In fact, there's more: there are now fears that the opinion by this AG may threaten to *reincarcerate* some people who were already released after decades in prison.
