Extraordinary. Denmark is spending a higher percentage of GDP on defence than the UK is. I wonder what J D Vance thinks Denmark's "job" is, other than acting in Denmark's interests? "If you don't do what we want, we'll steal your land" is what we expect to hear from Putin, not the US administration.

We should come up with a basic EU plan for independence. What are the vulnerable points (satellites? Munitions?) and how do we invest in them. Can we retract policies into say 3 different kinds of weapons (tanks, guns)? Build up our own industry should be key with flexibility for national policies.
