A fun story. With a nice video at the end!
Ah, screw it. I’m going to give the 60 second unpublished “transfer opportunity” at Jamaica a shot. I’m counting on the Brooklyn Shuttle running on time, and the Far Rockaway train being slightly late.

And the journey starts with this 40 year old M3 🫤

The 76 senators who voted yes on this voted to ban all CBD products currently on the market in the United States and completely shred the legal hemp industry as it exists. If any of them are yours, do give them a piece of your mind.

An angle on this whole health insurance drama that I don't think has gotten enough appreciation: a lot of people have been relying on Obamacare subsidies to be able to afford insurance while self-employed.

Air mattresses and water mattresses exist and I have slept on both. An earth mattress, I suppose you could argue, is simply sleeping on the ground.

Still need to find the elusive fire mattress.

Thing that just occurred to me: the two people who are currently living in the dorm room I lived in as a freshman weren't born yet when I lived in it.

Oh man McDonald's apparently is doing their Monopoly thing again for the first time in a decade except this time you need to have their goddamn app to win anything, or even to obtain half the potential pieces because some of them are digital only.

I shouldn't be surprised but this is still sad.

Controversial opinion: this is a stopped clock moment, they're actually doing something useful, and we should seek to copy this in the US.

Environmental review lawsuits are 2% actual environmental protection and 98% NIMBYs weaponizing the law against projects they don't like. Get rid of them.

An excellent upgrade from 2000 Lee
Just in: Minnesotans have elected who will replace Melissa Hortman.

Xp Lee, a Democrat, just won today’s special election. He’s a former Brooklyn Park city councilor, who was born in a refugee camp in Thailand; he beat Republican Ruth Bittner after winning a competitive Dem primary last month.

An important point regarding recent events (short thread): in any society, there is a practical functional need to have a mechanism in place to take people in positions of power and influence who use those positions for evil and remove them from said positions. 1/
