Let's talk video game writing. Been a while since I've done one of these so we'll tackle a light and fluffy subject today:

Pen-and-paper RPGs, and what lessons DMing and adventure design have to teach about branching narrative writing in the BioWare, CD Projekt, etc. style.

Fell off this a bit, we'll see if I can get back on the wagon.

I love that this produces the canonical movement of the Madagascar penguins exactly as they were animated

It's uncanny
Made a little utility to emulate/test VR player movement system in third person 🐧. It's crazy complex because it has to simultaneously take into account:
- natural locomotion
- artificial locomotion
- snap turning
- penguin pelvis backslide
- uneven terrain
- footing

The Game Gap model looks interesting. I've had concepts about it before, but I'm yet to actually see something successful and reasonable come about from it. Guess we'll see what you guys can cook up. Good luck!

Pacific Drive (2024)

The initial team expected to do it with 8 people, and at least from the time I joined, the feature and content list shrank more than it grew. Including co-dev, we were probably at ~35 at our peak, and we STILL came in screaming hot, after multiple delays...

Just had an idea for an "aggregate game" (where a single game contains many smaller games, like UFO 50) where you walk around in an old school arcade and every cabinet is linked to it's own game that comes from a repository of ever increasing games. You would change the cabinets around based on

It was a long day, you're tired, working on the game isn't sounding fun right now because you have a scary bug to fix.

You don't have to fix that tonight! Make a fun particle effect or something instead. It will keep the momentum going and inspire you to tackle it tomorrow!
