I think it would depend heavily on how much there is to do, how much effort it would take to do said things, and to what style of gameplay (for ex: farming simulator 19 vs stardew). However, generalizing all those things, about 20-30 minutes sounds like the right range. 45 tops for long task games

I've put a small amount of work into a system where you could find this out using said system. Basically it would be the single most comprehensive video game comparison system that has ever been built, and I have a good idea on how to do it. The problem of course is it'd need lots of time and money

Oh shit, is this a totally-not-pokemon centers game? This could be very interesting. Looks great so far, keep it up!

Yep. They are just adding another step to the process, because if your middle manager boss sees this article and thinks "cool, we should try this" then you'll just need to render different game worlds for every single different location you have concept art for. Man, that ai bubble is gonna pop hard

They are human and make mistakes like you, run into brick walls like you, look at other devs for inspiration like you, and get down on themselves at times like you. I don't really have any solutions for you for getting out of a slump, but you are in the majority here, not the minority.

Yeah, those days are always hard, and I myself have never really found a cure for them. The one thing I realized over time though, is that those people that look like they have it together, have the best ideas and make it seem like everything is so easy, are faking it just as much as you are.

Sigh, of course the title of the article implies that this is the only tool you would need if you wanted to make super fast levels in game. In reality, all it does it does is let you preview what a game world could look like based on concept art. Basically, it's fancy concept art, nothing more.

Wow, this looks really good. Using ice as a gravity defying mechanism for a penguin is really smart, and all the movements are clear and obvious yet hard to execute perfectly. I could see some speed runners really enjoying this.
