This is lengthy, but so important. In the last couple of years, I’ve seen a lot of the things that the graphic at the end has under “covert antisemitism” coming from people who I think don’t realize what they’re doing.
I think it’s time to put this one back out into the ether, friends

Come and learn about how the tropes undergirding anti-Jewish hatred and conspiracy theories as they exist today came to be…
The Antisemitism Post (tm)
Gotta get the history to know where the tropes live in the discourse today.

It’s baby octopus season 🐙🦑

Saw this little guy last night with the Salish Sea School in Anacortes, WA as part of their free community dock walk I volunteer as an interpreter for.

We can tell it is a giant pacific octopus from the single line of chromatophores on each arm.

Those on an H1B cannot return to the US from tomorrow (Sunday) unless paying $100K. This is an out-of-the blue presidential action. We’ll see software engineers stranded abroad.

One easy to predict outcome: those on US visas will travel less… for work, for conferences etc.

Happy international whale shark day!

Whale sharks are absolutely unequivocally sharks, and are absolutely not whales. And they’re not half shark half whales.

While I have you, they’re predators. Eating lots of tiny animals is still eating animals!

So the endoscopists out-performed AI assistance in lesion detection, until they used AI which then degraded their unassisted skills so that they became dependent on it, even with worse results. The first dose is free.
'The rate at which endoscopists detected precancerous growths in the colon without help from AI fell from 28.4% to 22.4% after their hospitals introduced AI assistance (...) The detection rate in AI-assisted colonoscopies was 25.3%.'
