Keep holding the line Senator Slotkin! Americans need Democrats in unison, standing up for the right to have healthcare. We can't have people getting sick and not having coverage. PLEASE convince your fellow Senators to keep giving a damn about their constituents!
Tonight, I am voting no on a procedural vote on an appropriations deal that would re-open the government. Since July, I have been clear: to earn my vote, Republicans would have to do something to bring down the cost of health care for working and middle-class Michiganders. (1/4)
November 10, 2025 at 1:55 AM
Hey, Senate DEMS -- this is key! Even people without income have a heart and the foresight to see that robbing people of healthcare is heartless.

HOLD THE LINE! This is on Republicans to compromise, on behalf of the American people.
My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.
November 10, 2025 at 1:47 AM
@chrismurphyct.bsky.social has it right. DEMS cannot walk away from taking care of ensuring the ACA credits stay in place. If they walk away and cave in, so much damage will be done, and they'll be blamed. Instead of the Republicans, who SHOULD be blamed, and who all need to start caring!
This right here.
Chris Murphy: "There will be pretty substantial damage to a Dem brand that has been rehabilitated if on the heels of an election in which the people told us to keep fighting, we immediately stop... if we surrender without having gotten anything, I worry it'll be hard to get them back up off the mat"
November 10, 2025 at 1:44 AM
I am old enough to remember -- damn it, healthcare before the ACA was like playing roulette -- with your health. Dangerous.

@schumer.senate.gov DON'T BE a WEASEL! Hold the line. Gen Z and Gen Y will never, ever, ever let you hear the end of this.

YOU have government healthcare for life. F you.
For anyone too young to remember what it was like before ACA…

IT WAS A FUCKING NIGHTMARE.
One of the most important provisions of the ACA was eliminating pre-existing conditions exclusions from insurance plans.

Folks need to be reminded that if the ACA goes away, so does that provision.
November 10, 2025 at 1:20 AM
Thank you for speaking out @govpritzker.illinois.gov -- I hope @schumer.senate.gov listens to you and the MILLIONS of Americans who need their ACA credits, who count on them to keep healthcare affordable.

HOLD the LINE, Dems!!
This is not a deal — it's an empty promise.

Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.

Time for Democrats to stand tall for affordable healthcare. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

And @schumer.senate.gov HOLD the party TOGETHER in favor of Americans!

WTH kind of leader are you? LEAD!
This, from Tim Kaine is HILARIOUS:
November 10, 2025 at 1:13 AM
DAMN IT, Tim Kaine. You're MY Senator. HOLD THE LINE! It's on the Republicans to heed Americans' calls to keep the ACA tax credits. I know people are suffering. But more will DIE if people don't get these credits.

DEMS need to get aligned!

DAMN it, Senate Democrats -- hold the line. No deal without ACA healthcare subsidies!! Otherwise, you seem weak. HOLD THE LINE!

The world needs to come together to help the people of Gaza. Starving people is unconscionable.

I pray for their well-being.
Prime Minister of the UK, Keir Starmer:

"The suffering and starvation unfolding in Gaza is unspeakable and indefensible."

Um, some guy who lives in a white house doesn't understand tariffs, even if they're his favorite word.

Please, Democrats, keep the Epstein Files on repeat, even when Congress is on recess. Don't let up.
Use some common sense.

Ask ChatGPT how Chronic Venous Insufficiency can impact cognitive abilities.

"CVI is associated with chronic systemic inflammation, which is a well-documented contributor to neurodegeneration and cognitive decline."
July 17, 2025 at 8:46 PM
Why can't we use this to question his mental abilities?

He can't remember appointing Powell?

FFS.
Not remembering he appointed Powell himself is kind of a perfect encapsulation of how poorly thought out and stupid this move is.

Thank you, Congressman Swalwell, for standing up for dignity, not deportation. We are so fortunate to have your principled leadership in the House.
Headed into a Homeland Security hearing to demand answers from the architects of cruelty—Noem, Miller, Homan—and to stand up for immigrant families who deserve dignity, not deportation.

Paging Jamie Dimon and Ray Dalio as voices of sanity to say "No way, don't tank the markets."

Someone is creating a distraction...like "look over here," and the American people -- especially retirees who count on bonds -- shouldn't be paying the price for his insanity.
July 16, 2025 at 8:40 PM
Anyone else want to puke about the jeopardy the guy in the White House is generating for our economy?
Could you imagine a president of the United States tanking the bond market to distract from a sex scandal?

Not possible, right? Like some kind of crazy movie script too absurd even for Hollywood?
July 16, 2025 at 8:25 PM
This is NOT acceptable! The guy who lives in the white house said he was going after criminals. These 250 don't fit that bill. Florida and ICE need to let them out!

I hate fireworks. And I especially hate them a block from my home, mid-day, on July 7.

To my Arizona friends in District 1 and District 6: Call (202) 224-3121. Ask to speak to your elected Member of Congress. Tell them to vote NO on the horrendous bill the Senate just passed. DON'T WAIT! They want this done by Thursday, but YOU can help stop it. YES your call matters!
“The fight’s not over. Let’s get to work.”

After Senate Republicans passed Trump’s Tax Scam, @repyassansari.bsky.social and @leahgreenberg.bsky.social explain how you can still help stop the GOP from ripping healthcare away from 17 million Americans.

Thank you to my Virginia US Senators, @markwarner.bsky.social and @kaine.senate.gov for voting NO on the Ugly, Insane Bill.

I'm grateful to ALL Democrats who stood up for We The People.

And I'm SICKENED by all the Republicans who obviously care more for 1% of people in our country than 99%
