In a later Loony Tunes cartoon, I'm guessing the late 1950s (I'm only referring to works in their golden age), Elmer Fudd is in a mental institution, his mind destroyed by years of failing to kill Bugs Bunny, leading him to believe that he, too, is a rabbit.
