UK's Labour Party abandoned transgender people. The gambit to pursue rightwing voters by abandoning a targeted minority failed, and now they're facing the prospect of a historic loss.
US Dems could learn a lot from their failure.

Imagine being a non-White person in the UK.
Now imagine being constantly asked for your Digital ID, just because "We are checking."
It is going to be like that, it ALWAYS is.

Recently in consultation meetings I've met children who have been racially abused by other children. This has retraumatised their parents and is also retraumatising for me. Racism is a safeguarding issue as outlined in KCSIE. It should be treated as such.

Still taking in the @edpsy.bsky.social festival and the honour of interviewing Bernard Coard with Sathya. It felt like an energising way to end a day of listening to inspiring speakers and planning for a better future for children, families, and ourselves.

Disappointed in the new occupants at the DfE quite generally tbh and I'm not afraid to say it. Too much flattery goes on in the sector where people want to have influence and I don't think it's healthy for education. #EduSky

Parenting a child with SEND as a psychologist means administering and scoring questionnaires by day, and answering them yourself in your downtime. It's very draining but has also made me think about how and why I use them in my practice.

A surprisingly high number of EPs pay little attention to accessibility when using social media. As advisors to settings on reasonable adjustments like assistive technology, we should be striving to educate ourselves on this.
Your picture might say a thousand words, but your alt text doesn’t have to to include blind and partially sighted people 🤯
It's really easy, simply click ‘Alt’ on the image and type your description before hitting ‘post’.

Seeing discourse about Jamie Oliver backing a national rollout of a dyslexia screener which Matt Hancock has undoubtedly invested in, and wondering why the Year 1 phonics check is not being used to identify struggling readers as intended?

Just had a governor meeting where a teacher attended to present data on the Y4 multiplication check dressed as a Teletubby. He'd promised this to his class as an incentive for doing well in the check. There aren't enough words for how important great teachers are!
