Still taking in the @edpsy.bsky.social festival and the honour of interviewing Bernard Coard with Sathya. It felt like an energising way to end a day of listening to inspiring speakers and planning for a better future for children, families, and ourselves.

Today marks 5 years since the murder of George Floyd. It felt like a good opportunity to share Bernard Coard's new book on teaching in Educationally Subnormal schools. A reminder that the fight against unjust race and class systems is decades, if not centuries in the making.

Last night, I was asked by my child to send a text message to their best friend's mum, explaining that they are trans. The reply I received brought me to tears. Love and compassion is what matters to trans kids and their families. Trust that we know what is best for our kids.
