This feels weird.
In Sonic Heroes, Metal's plan wasn't to destroy all life; It was to rule the world, much like Eggman.
I'm not sure it makes sense for Metal Sonic - even a Metal Sonic gone rogue - to want planetary omnicide. He's never indicated he wants that.
I like IDW, but it feels a bit off.

This feels weird.
In Sonic Heroes, Metal's plan wasn't to destroy all life; It was to rule the world, much like Eggman.
I'm not sure it makes sense for Metal Sonic - even a Metal Sonic gone rogue - to want planetary omnicide. He's never indicated he wants that.
I like IDW, but it feels a bit off.

I do think that unambiguously sentient AI could exist someday.
And I think we're going to have a really ugly battle about ethical treatment, personhood, and rights of nonhuman people when that happens - since the majority of current (and likely future) AIs are products sold by corporations.
