Dude, I played the demo of this level sooooooooo many times on the PS3.
Green Hill has been overused so much... but this was so damn cool at the time.
(Also, this clip is handheld mode on Switch 2. It's so good.)

Starting with the most recent Dalton Draws, my own videos have gone back to 4:3. It's better for cross-posting, it's better for social media feeds, it's easier to convert to shorts, it's just more flexible.

Moving away from 4:3 was such a mistake.
(to be clear, I'm not saying widescreen is bad, but having a reliable middle-ground between devices sure would be better than mixing horizontal and vertical formats... especially when D+ stuff also tends to use an *even wider* aspect ratio. Ugh.)

I remember being sick of the static battle sprites in DP, to the point that Platinum/HGSS giving mons 2 frames was like "Ohhh SHIT!"
As I've gotten more experienced with pixel art though, god, I dread the thought of how much work those were.
And then gen 5 came along and animated ALL of 'em. Dude.

God, these games really were the pixel art style for the series perfected, at least in terms of overworld sprites. Everything is so dang pleasant and colorful, it's so so soooo good dude.

It takes an enormous amount of courage to stand there, keep filming, and scream "What the fuck, you asshole" at someone wearing a badge who just shot and killed one of your neighbors in cold blood.
I need people to wrap their minds around the fact that here in Minneapolis, ICE broke the window of a vehicle yesterday, pepper sprayed the occupants, and arrested them, and shot another observer in the face today, and OBSERVERS ARE STILL GOING OUT TO PROTECT THEIR NEIGHBORS AT MASSIVE PERSONAL RISK
I’m eating lunch, I’m having a panic attack, I’m charging my phone, and then I’m going back out to try and keep my neighborhood safe.

She was a queer woman peacefully exercising her First Amendment right. Every person with a sound conscience should be furious.
Renee Nicole Good was 37. She was murdered by an ICE agent in the street in broad daylight. What really happened to her will not be forgotten, minimized, or ignored.
