The #storm was picking up. The sparse sunlight began to #wane with the swollen clouds rolling darkly in the late afternoon sky. A wall cloud loomed ominously to the southwest. Dawn didn’t like the look of things & wished they were a whole lot closer to their destination.

Covered in a small cloud of steam, the remains of the wolf hide deteriorating rapidly on the forest floor around her, Rieka swept her legs clean of any clinging bits simply for comfort. Standing up straight as a human woman, she pressed a hand to the nearest tree, and took a deep, steadying breath of relief. Changing spiked her body temperature as much as the fluid quickly burned itself away, so the cold air of the Colorado mountains wasn't immediately making her freeze. It was refreshing. And werewolves ran hot regardless. (She'd always been a little curious how she looked on infrared camera, but she'd never had the guts to tell her father that.) After that luxurious moment to savor being done, she stepped out of the little cloud of steam to start moving for her cabin. She felt less need to sneak in the dark. The remains of her shed continued melting and burning away. In fact, she'd noticed over the years that wherever her shed degraded, plant life seemed to do better. Some kind of fast-acting fertilizer? The most convenient part was how clean the fluid left her. Steaming gently herself, by the time Rieka made it to her cabin, her hair was clean and fluffy, her skin was immaculate other than her scars and mild tan, and she very much felt refreshed.
