I've been recovering from bottom surgery and making little OSR games to pass the time. I've made 7 or 8 so far, I think -- hacks of Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Into the Odd, etc. Today's is original, and made entirely of words of one syllable.

I've been recovering from bottom surgery and making little OSR games to pass the time. I've made 7 or 8 so far, I think -- hacks of Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Into the Odd, etc. Today's is original, and made entirely of words of one syllable.

My nieces and nephews could not comprehend how I could draw, how I was drawing something right in front of them. This sucks.

I love to see stuff like this because it helps explain to people trapped in tech-sponsored information bubbles the actually obvious fact that universities teach people to know & think things, and AI is a way to produce the effect of knowing & thinking things w/o actually knowing & thinking them.

On year ago today, the tabletop roleplaying game industry lost one of its most influential designers and illustrators, not to mention the most senior and prominent transgender professional in the field. Her work continues to resonate with me to this day.
As we said at the time of her passing, "We at the Chaosium fondly remember all the wonderful works you created for us, and for others. You have earned your seat at the table of gaming greats many times over."

Proof of life, one week after surgery. Still painful to switch positions, but I’m slowly feeling less pain. Fortunately I have my love taking care of me, as well as a wonderful support network here in SF, online, and back home. Thanks for all your support, friends!
