I'm not a fan of Greene, but Loomer calling her an "ape" is pretty disgusting, but the type of personal insult that is all too common among the MAGA crowd (including Trump and Administration officials).
Things are going well with MAGA.

Per the article, that quote comes from a New Yorker article in 2023. So why are they only now dropping her?
I watched every episode of this show and have no idea who she is. We’ve got to insist on actors reaching a certain level of fame before they have their diva insanity phase.
"Nekrasova has made controversial statements in the past. In a 2023 New Yorker story, she was quoted as saying, “Francis is not the real Pope, we all know it. … You’re not gonna get rid of the Freemasons. You’re not gonna get rid of the Jews. They infiltrated the Church a long time ago.”"

It's not that Comey is so important. It's that Trump targeted him & if the indictment is thrown out because Halligan wasn't qualified, they probably can't indict him again. Halligan will take the fall for that, but Bondi might also. Trump will be enraged.
The hearing made it clear they're treating Lindsey's appointment as a goof by Bondi (when in reality she had to appoint Halligan to be senior to the short-lived Maggie Cleary).

But holy hell I think Bondi stepped far deeper into shit.
One sign of the importance DOJ is placing on its prosecution of former FBI chief and Trump foe James Comey is that prosecutors have gotten the attorney general involved twice, on short notice.

It's part of his panic response.
On Friday, Trump reversed the administration’s stance that there was nothing left to see in the Epstein case and ordered the FBI to target his political enemies.

Assuming she's running again--and I don't have any idea how strong her support is in her district--but what happens if she wins her primary despite Trump endorsing another candidate? Is that the end of Trump's influence in his party? How much of a risk is that for him?
this one is a mistake

Hard to believe that he really doesn't know what the MRI was for.
It’s really something. The greatest country in the history of the world twice elected the most stupid, most ignorant, biggest idiot in the history of the world.
November 15, 2025 at 3:50 AM
I get the point, but really Donald Trump is responsible for him getting 34 felony convictions.
Phang: Because Todd Blanche, we know, is the loser of losers. Todd Blanche is the guy responsible for Donald Trump getting 34 felonies for which he was convicted.

So when I call Donald Trump convicted felon Donald Trump, that’s really an homage to Todd Blanche.

Just want to point out that the sentence beginning "For instance" isn't actually a sentence. There's no verb or subject. That's pretty embarrassing, given her supposed position. Frankly, embarrassing for anyone who graduated high school.
"But even if there’s not the colossal paperwork error there appears to be, there’s another problem."

I suspect you're giving Trump too much credit for intelligence.
He he's doing something that he already knew when they target these things that the prices for Americans was going to skyrocket so you caused the problem now you're saying you are solving the problem bye I'm doing something that you shouldn't have done in the first place deliberately incompetent
November 14, 2025 at 5:02 PM
It's a belated recognition by Trump that his tariffs are causing price inflation. Something everyone else--everyone--knew from the beginning. This whole tariff scheme has been a disaster.
November 14, 2025 at 2:32 PM
Sure, that will bring some prices down. Unless Trump changes his mind again.

Why do they even give guys like Emmer a platform? They lie constantly. What's the news value in that?
SORKIN: The question is whether you think tariffs are helping affordability

EMMER: I think Trump has been winning on the tariffs

SORKIN: Winning in terms of the price Americans are paying for goods?

EMMER: Donald Trump and his administration have driven down costs on groceries [this is a lie]

Cheung is a goon. It's disgraceful that a President of the United States would make this clown the head of communications.
Trump’s White House communications director raged at a Democratic congresswoman for daring to question the Trump administration’s narrative on the release of more than 20,000 documents from the Epstein estate.

Don’t worry. The White House totally has the situation under control.

Just a reminder that Trump and Republicans constantly refer to Democrats as communists (shades of the '50s!), socialists and marxists, and you know that they couldn't define these terms if their lives depended on it.
HANNITY: I keep hearing from Democrats, 'Nazi, fascist, racist, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini.' Is that incitement? Do you believe that impacts unstable people

BONDI: It is freedom of speech, but it does. They probably couldn't even define a 'fascist'

A big difference is that Trump 1.0 had lots of insiders appalled by what they were seeing and willing to leak to the NYT and WP. In 2.0 there are almost none like that; the only leaks are one insider against another. With no inside sources, there's much less the papers can report on.
something I find very telling is the attitude among normie dems these days

in Trump 1.0, the Times was the center of the “resistance” - often fueling with the Post for what felt like daily scoops

in Trump 2.0, the paper’s disinterest in actual adversarial reporting is noticeable and people are mad
I think there are a number of people employed at the New York Times -- certainly not all of them, but many! -- who simply do not grasp how badly the paper's credibility has been shaken over the past few years, along several different axes, and for multiple different reasons
November 13, 2025 at 8:14 PM
She wants back in from the semi-cold. The SBA is not the endgame for her ambition. But for the moment, staying on the fringes of the Administration might be the best move.
She's confusing inflation with Trump's approval rating.

He could just nominate her for the permanent US Attorney position. That is, unless Republican Senators send the message that she's too unqualified for them to vote to confirm. (Or maybe Lindsay will start a firm with Alina Habba.)
If Judge Currie rules that, as is self-evident, Lindsey Halligan has simply been playing dress-up US Attorney for the last two months, does Halligan go back to shutting down factually accurate exhibits on slavery at the Smithsonian?

Or does Trump just give her her Ambassadorial sinecure?

People do buy their own insurance--through the exchanges and with subsidies for those who can't afford. And the ACA protects those with pre-existing conditions, requires certain things to be covered and prohibits lifetime caps. Does Trump want to undo all those protections?
Think about buying a car, a fun, stress-free negotiating process that everybody loves. Now imagine that if you don’t buy a car you die and if you buy the wrong car you also die
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

No doubt some of the stupidity coming from the WH is the result of incompetent staffers. But who's responsible for hiring incompetents (which includes cabinet members)? Trump, of course.
It’s as old as time. Trump supporters NEVER blame Trump for anything. It’s always someone else’s fault. His staff, his advisors, the media…when Trump does something stupid and/or wrong, it’s never his fault. Trump supporters treat him like a poor, helpless idiot.

Your monthly payments will be less, but you're building equity in your house at a much slower rate. I suspect most home buyers aren't staying in place for 50 years, let alone 30. So what's the comparison at, say, 10 years?
Trump’s plan is for people to pay his banker friends hundreds of thousands more in interest on mortgages while they own a piece of your home until you die.
November 9, 2025 at 3:44 AM
Exactly what need does a 50-year mortgage satisfy that a 30-year one doesn't?
Trump and his cronies are now pushing 50-year mortgages.

Buckle up. This is going to make the 2008 mortgage crisis look like the good old days.

It's not news, but we have an idiot for a President. (But if he really wants to cut out the insurance companies, how about Medicare for all?)
it is darkly humorous that after all these years, the Republican health insurance plan ends up being to end health insurance
Trump: "I am recommending to Senate Republicans that the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies in order to save the bad Healthcare provided by ObamaCare, BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE."
November 8, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Trump is panicking and thinks he can get people their essential subsidies without extending the ACA subsidies. It's moronic, but it shows his level of panic.
Trump want to make a one time payment of 400 bucks, then cancel your insurance. You can use that money to make a downpayment on your coffin.
