You need a politic grounded in disability justice if you want to effectively address ANY of the issues people left of center care about (e.g., racism, transphobia, climate change, genocide, pandemics, capitalism).

They ALL cause disability.

Listen to disabled people.
Prioritize accessibility.

Haven't had a good scream and chomp fest in a couple days, but she's back in the mood. I accept my role as chew toy.

Terrible day! Potato jumped up into a fly strip, it attached to her tail, and then she bolted through the house shrieking. By the time I caught her some of her toys had come along for the ride. Then I bathed her tail! She has already forgiven me.

Ableism teaches us to abandon each other.

Racism will disable you.
Transphobia will disable you.
Long COVID will disable you.
Genocide will disable you.
Climate change will disable you.

Do not obey when told to abandon the vulnerable.

Resistance & communities must be rooted in disability justice.

I do think I need more knick knacks, but I may be contractually obligated to leave a spot for the VIP (very important Potato).

David Lynch spent the last portion of his life in isolation. He said it was due to being high-risk and unable to risk getting COVID.

He’s not the only person with disability or illness who’s been left behind.

Everywhere you go without an n95 is a place you’ve decided disabled people don’t belong.

Whatever you’re going through would you rather have $50 right now or a stranger guess what you need that costs approximately $50.
I think people think of money as impersonal. Sending socks and imagining you’re keeping someone’s feet warm feels good. But if you’re sending money, imagine making somebody’s kids feel safe. Getting a birthday cake and birthday presents. Printing out special photos to put in a frame.
You gave that.

My dear,
Soon I may expire from hunger, for the callous beast that does reside upon my feet will not be assuaged in its desire for comfort. It taunts me with its contented rumblings, so like the desperate tremors of my empty stomach.

All my love,
