I stopped calling what I feel around chronic illness grief, and started calling it trauma. There is grief around lost friends and expectations, but the every day misery, physical and mental, feels more like trauma to me.

It would have to last for a month or more for them to really get the "chronic" part. I'm 100% for it though.

The individualism in our culture is such garbage. We all depend on one another, and it shouldn't feel taboo to need something and to ask, but it is. That hurts everybody, but especially disabled people, and it makes it so much more likely to be abandoned, because dependence is seen as unacceptable.

I really like the betta and the hedgehog!

Potato is a love biter. And an excitement biter. And just uses me as a chew toy. I'm amazed by how gentle she is. I honestly love her nibbles.
