A doctor who witnessed the shooting submits a sworn declaration in federal litigation to halt ICE surge in MN:

"I did not see him attack the agents or brandish a weapon of any kind."

and

"The victim had at least three bullet wounds in his back."

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

The health and social care sector in the UK has always been reliant on the commitment and expertise of its international workforce.

We call on the Government to reinstate the right to work for asylum-seeker doctors - something we have consistently advocated for.

The announcement of new asylum measures by the Home Secretary risks fuelling anti-migrant rhetoric.

We reiterate our solidarity with our colleagues, many of whom are being subjected to increasingly hostile treatment as a direct result.

5 appointments left. 31 requests (and counting) for them. So safe. So bringing back the family doctor (to sit staring at a screen desperately trying to filter out what actually needs one of the last few appointments). We used to close the forms and send someone down to see extra patients - progress?

Still, at least the decision to abolish NHS England and halve the funding of the regional organisations without any budget for redundancy has been a complete triumph of health service system reform.

Well it has happened.
The leadership of the Conservative&Unionist Party is advocating leaving the ECHR. Not reforming it, or working with other members to alter any rules.
Leave it. Like Putin’s Russia.
I can’t help wondering what those Tories who are rightly proud of 🇬🇧’s support for 🇺🇦 are thinking.

27,000 GPs with 6200 Surgeries

31 million people visit GPs every month a similar number have haircuts

You can see the problem @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social judging by Wes’s trim he is going to the hair salon a lot more than his GP unlike many

The 8am rush may reduce but there are no more appts or Hp time to offer, in fact less as a online forms are dealt with

Michelle Mone is the polar opposite of the values that should govern public life.

She should repay what she owes immediately & get her sorry, dishonourable form as far away from the House of Lords as possible.

She, & all those other govt grifters who tried to monetise a pandemic, sicken me. Ends/

Here I am in 2020 in the flimsiest, most pitful PPE - like so many other NHS staff, some of whom died from the Covid they caught in their hospitals.

Tory peer Michelle Mone - who today lost her legal case & must repay the govt £122m - dares to claim she’s been ‘scapegoated’.

What, Michelle? 🧵

Is there a reason I ask that the Times are using a picture of asylum seekers in a boat to describe rules for migrants who came on legal routes such as skilled worker visas for doctors?
Tough new conditions to be imposed on migrants who want to settle in the UK will not apply to more than a million people who arrived in the UK under the post-Brexit immigration surge
Labour’s tough new rules will not apply to migrants already in UK
