today's writing advice: sometimes it's okay to have a character just say out loud 'this is what i want to do now' and move on to the next thing rather than find some clever transition. it's okay. people say what they want to do out loud all the time.

A teretosi excitedly picks up a pika bun and prepares to slice it open. A large block of text sits beside the sketch "A dish popular among teretosi is the Poor Man's Marmot, otherwise known as the pika bun, a baked good with heavily spiced meat stuffing shaped to resemble a rodent. The Poor Man's Marmot is traditionally sliced open with a dewclaw, with only the stuffing consumed and bread discarded. However, during times of famine, teretosi would often resort to consumption of the entire pika bun, leading to increased bread quality and decreased meat quantity. In present day, discourse on the correct way to consume a pika bun is still abundant, especially in interspecies spaces." Underneath the text is a doodle of an extremely disappointed teretosi with a cut-open pika bun and fruit gunk on their claw.
