My fursona, a vaguely mammalian creature with thick fur, horns, and two tails, sits at a kitchen counter. Some decor sits at the far end of the counter against the wall next to an espresso machine. Two cabinets loom above the espresso machine. Above my head is a faded thought bubble that says “I miss my shrimp” A block of red text slowly fades in from the angled counter, reading “I think your mind is gonna change about kids when you’re older, remember what I said about friends? Friends will come and go, but FAMILY is forever. Family will never leave you. I know you think you know everything but I think your mind will change about kids. Not that I don’t love your nephew but-“ the sentence is cut off with much larger, brighter block of red text reading, “Do you want a husband?” A speech bubble tail hangs from the counter and circles toward the perspective of whomever is looking at me. I (my fursona)’s thought bubble pops, and I stare at my mother (the POV) with a very shocked and nervous expression. I can only say “UHHH.” My text is teal and my speech bubble is the cabinets themselves. A far more realistic looking persona of my mother; she resembles a sable, a type of mustelid. She has a blank expression on her face and a speech bubble with three red dots indicates her silence. My teal “UHHHHHHHHHH” trails above her in an unsteady line. My mother continues, saying “…Or a partner or something?” A frantic white speech bubble appears behind me as I yell “WHAT? NO-“ outside of it. The text within the speech bubble is obscured and difficult to read. My fursona looms within the speech bubble, jaw agape as I frantically explain my situation.
