I had a rough one with my Dad in the car. I stood up for my child. My dad probably doesn't know how insulted I am or why but he knows he went to a Bad Place. I gotta figure out where to go next but I'm in uncharted territory now. I've never been stern with my Dad. I feel awful in a necessary way.

Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

E.B. White is lovely. In Stuart Little, Mr. and Mrs. White change the line in Twas the Night Before Christmas from "mouse" to "louse" so as not to offend or belittle Stuart. No fussing about tradition. Just changed words to keep their child comfortable. They banned a nursery rhyme about execution.
