NEW in the Epstein files: an internal SDNY note shows Michael Cohen’s lawyers sought Rule 35 consideration, saying Cohen had “heard Trump say things about Epstein.”

In August, Cohen screamed at me that he knew “nothing.” Then he cracked on camera.

the thing about “ICE needs training” is that Jonathan Ross was a ten year DHS vet and a firearms instructor

he’s the kind of guy they get training from

the whole institution is rotten, throw it out
Democrats officially going all in on the mealy mouthed “ICE needs training” narrative.

No. ABOLISH ICE.
WARNER: It used to take 5 to 6 months to get trained. They've now lowered the training period to 47 days. Why 47 days? Because Donald Trump's the 47th president. Tell me that's a rational approach

KERNEN: I'm not taking that bait

WARNER: Joe! You can't pick your facts

Five years ago, Donald Trump instigated a violent insurrection in the Capitol to prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 election. The fact that the GOP coddled him, protected him, renominated him, and now support him in office, is a stain that will never be erased.

New in PN: The blame for alleged fraud in Minnesota belongs to conservatives

"Republican policies have created a perfect vicious cycle: Privatize services, let private companies run amok, then declare that the government is the problem. And the Trump administration is turbo-charging it."

Why are businesses and government officials still on that site?
For the last few days on X, people (mainly women, and sometimes children) have had nonconsensual images of them in swimsuits (or much worse) requested by users and created by Grok.

Musk's only apparent response thus far has been to crack jokes about it.
so x dot com’s ai generated CSAM and they admitted it may violate US law and … i haven’t seen in anyone in power say much at all or call to stop using the platform

Couple of things here:

1. Trump says he took another cognitive test recently

2. In front of "large numbers of doctors and experts"

3. He called the examinations "long...and very boring"

4. If you're given 3 cognitive exams in one year by panels of doctors, something is VERY wrong with you

You can extend for a year. In a year, hopefully we have some reform. If not, you can extend another year.

Extending 3 yrs now is going to triple the stock prices of big insurance carriers and hospital networks. They will LOVE IT. Prices will continue to skyrocket
And what happens if ACA credits aren’t extended, Mark? 🙄
I hope the Dems realize that if they extend the ACA subsidies, and take no other steps, they are giving carte blanche to the biggest insurance companies and major hospital systems to find new ways to game the system and increase costs.

This Day in Labor History: December 10, 1976. Undocumented workers in Chicago leather plants voted to unionize, leading to battle for them to have access to U.S. labor rights. The employer had them deported, but they sued and the Supreme Court ruled in workers favor in 1984!!! Wouldn't happen today!
