When the lawyers involved lose their licenses—as they should—that will be the first time anyone curbs this kind of shit.
A very detailed explanation of how FBI bamboozled a magistrate into authorizing a raid on Fulton County’s election offices by omitting critical information that would have totally undermined any probable cause claim. Pretty clear-cut case of calculated deception of the courts.
Fulton Co elections expert: “In all 5 areas identified by ... the [search warrant] affidavit, there are a multitude of false or misleading statements or omissions. ... Once ... corrected, the affidavit loses any basis in reality.”

@kaylor.bsky.social How will the wnba negotiations end up? I feel like the players hold the cards more than any other sport as revenues are going up and alternative international leagues exist, but you would know better than me so thought I’d ask you 😎

36 sleeps until opening day. Milwaukee icon Robin Yount throws to first. The last player to hit a home run at the age of 18. Winner of 2 AL MVP’s Yount had 3142 hits during his 20 MLB seasons, all with the Brewers. One of the best players I ever saw. Hall of Fame 1999.

Owners lol
Tom Pohlad, when told the Twins' over/under is 73.5 wins: "That's ridiculous."

Pohlad doubled down on his expectation of a winning season and talked openly about the Twins' pursuit of Framber Valdez.

But his actions still need to catch up to his words: www.nytimes.com/athletic/705...

Pohlad called the Twins' preseason over/under of 73 1/2 wins "ridiculous" and said the front office is still pursuing impact additions.

While I'm not optimistic about the Rays chances in 2026, I am excited to see the bullpen in action. Lots of options, and a recoveing Hunter Bigge with a new kick-change could be yet another fun thing to watch www.mlb.com/news/hunter-...

What’s so weird about men in power is how when they face scandal and should step down the world acts like no one else can do their jobs. Bottstein, Wasserman, these aren’t irreplaceable men! Stop with this delusion.

Same. I have the privilege of being a white dude and can speak when others can’t. The fact that they can't is a really big problem. it is why we have a First Amendment (among other reasons). ICE violates these rights over and over every day, but I’m not going away.

Fun thread from Doug on RP process in a Draft/Hold. I was in this draft, and learned more about several of these picks after they were selected. My faves from his list (granted, most are longshots) are Mejia, Sands and Leasure.
Just completed an NFBC Draft Champions draft (50 rounds, 15 teams) against other speakers from the Arizona First Pitch Forum that Baseball HQ puts on during the Arizona Fall League. As a bit of an experiment, I decided that I would not take a relief pitcher any earlier than the 25th round, and (1/x)

CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change—all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.
