my first paper, which I co-authored with @jaakkostenros.bsky.social and @sotamaa.bsky.social, is now published!! it is essentially an invitation, and a tool, to reflect on and experiment with the rules we play by to invent personal metagames and shape agencies. open access dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/...

Immigration is a fake problem. We have politicians on the one hand who want to use immigrants as scapegoats for our real ones and politicians on the other who are too cowardly to stand against them and tell the truth. That is the entire situation. Until that changes, people will continue to die.

I keep thinking about the stress expended by small sites responding to the Online Safety Act. Trying to make sense of unclear guidance and do their best, already thinking about user safety. And then I think about X deciding to openly generate masses of CSAM and the lack of action taken against them.
