We found that social proof and credibility are key to smokers choosing cessation apps. Apps with 4.8-star ratings and trusted sources are more likely to be picked. Listening to user feedback and building trust boosts evidence-based app adoption and supports quitters.

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1,000 a month. A year later, nearly half of participants said they had housing.
Participants in Denver's basic-income program reported having more-secure housing, though results were similar in the trial and control groups.

"Evidence-based policy does work, but you have to own it, explain it and stay the course. It costs political capital, and politicians need to be brave. In a world where facts and evidence matter less and less, it is all the more vital that we stand by that evidence to take our nation forward."

I have struggled with sleep issues for more than 3 decades. A late diagnosis of #ADHD + meds finally showed me what it feels to have a 'normal' circadian rhythm.
Without meds, some ADHDers experience "rebound hyperactivity" in the evening as their brain struggles with neurotransmitter regulation.

Today, MPs are voting on the Tobacco and Vapes Bill.

If passed, it will bring the UK closer to protecting future generations from the harms of smoking & vaping and save countless lives.

Behavioural science can help frame messages in a way that addresses behaviour change, including beliefs about the consequences of not taking climate action. But we also know that communication alone has its limits, and other areas must be targeted to increase the likelihood of behaviour change. 🌐
New paper!

Across two large experiments (6,000+ participants globally), we found no evidence that subtle differences in climate change terminology influence willingness to take climate action.
