I was looking at some of the laws which have gone into affect in Virginia. One that got me was SB 1416.

"Makes it a traffic infraction not to stop for pedestrians; becomes a Class 1 misdemeanor if it results in serious injury or death to a vulnerable road user.

The penalty of killing someone.

Fully on board with dems running for office promising to reinstate fired federal employees and jail this administration’s various criminals, but let’s go ahead and add “we will seize by eminent domain any national parkland sold to developers”

I would challenge you to find a villain in the annals of fiction who did anything more inhumane than "deported a 4 year old US citizen with stage 4 cancer without their medicine."
Three U.S. citizens, ages 2, 4 and 7, swiftly deported from Louisiana
The cases have renewed concerns that the Trump administration’s expedited deportations are violating the rights of both citizens and noncitizens.

When I was growing up I was told that the worst thing about democracy was the potential for the common people to vote infinite money

but actually that’s what rich people do constantly

& they refuse to use their wealth to solve poverty which is the cause of everything they consider crime

New study from IIHS shows that car bloat is dangerous even at low speeds:

If hit by a sedan going 27 mph, a pedestrian has a 60% chance of a moderate+ injury and 30% chance of a serious one.

If it's a pickup going 27 mph, those odds rise to 83% and 63%, respectively.

This isn't how YOUR government should work:

❌ Empty 'shell bills' becoming massive overnight
❌ Public records kept in the dark

Just ask Damon Thayer, who turned 2 sentences into 282 pages with no public input.
