FUCK YOU IT'S JANUARY!!!
January 1, 2026 at 5:00 AM
I'll make an officially pinned Goal Post (heh) here after I get out of bed.

More writing, a lot more. Focus on building out my friend network. Working on finding *passion* in things, get back to editing video, scripting, and just being creative. I haven't felt creative all year.
What are your art ambitions for 2026? Make sure to post them here so we can publicly shame you if you achieve none of them!!

If Zohran removes Russell Wilson from the Giants and commutes Wilson's salary to something worthwhile, he'll already have his re-election wrapped up.

What was the last movie or TV Show you watched in 2025?

Annnnd with Midnight ringing, I go to bed. Also, jesus fuck they're unloading the fireworks out here.

Fuck 2025, and everything associated with minus a few exceptions. Kpop Demon Hunters, all the incredible people I met this year, and the vaguely interesting things, you're cool.

The rest can go.

I'm gonna do a set by set breakdown of my favorite cards from magic in 2025 tomorrow, but for now here is my absolute favorite card of the year, and not for any normal art or play or flavor reason. Rather because it was the first time Avishkar was mentioned, which represents a monumental victory.

This set of observations is produced by my scrolling Reddit and otherwise listening to people talk about "how to write."

A) there is no requirement that any of your characters has any sort of "arc" let alone a redemption.

B) there is also no requirement that your fiction has a plot.

“So long Space Hunter…”

Character example art for my little #ttrpg project. Brief art break is done now so it’s back to writing.

I just found out that our stuff is being sold on Amazon - WITHOUT our consent or any ability to opt out bc Amazon is just scraping artist’s websites and putting our shit in their search results. Again, without our permission.

Eeeevery couple years or so, I rewatch one of my favorite playthroughs of my one of the better games to come out of the 2010s.

@maxdood.bsky.social playthrough of Alien: Isolation is so damn unique. Max is a massive Alien fan, and watching his run through the game is such a treat.

Currently working on a few stories right now, and sending emails out to see who's up for working in 2026. Despite a lousy 2025 (not alone in that regard), I'm not letting a terrible year hold me back from putting my best foot forward for the new year.

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Impossible to tell the difference in policy changes at USPS that are due to panic, political suppression, incompetence, or inexorable change with the vast reduction of first-class mail. Even with the most technocratic Postmaster General, things have to give.

This is MTG'w bill. She personally authored. It's happening now, not in the past.

Spare me her redemption arc.
