The entire debate over birthright citizenship is anti-constitutional because the purpose, intent, and text of the 14th Amendment were designed to foreclose any argument about who counts as an American citizen.

worth saying that some portion of the freed slaves were themselves illegal aliens having been brought illegally into the united states by smugglers. if the birthright clause applies to them, it applies to undocumented immigrants

Agents in Key Largo, Florida ripped this woman wearing medical scrubs out of her car as she screamed she is a US citizen. Agents cuffed her and put her in one of their cars.

Actually the poorest countries in the world could also do this easily if “rich countries” weren’t extracting wealth and resources and shackling them with debt for the most ridiculous shit. Also if they compensated for colonization theft.

There is no moderate position against rampant bigoted attacks on minorities, about banning their mention in education, barring them from medical treatment and attempting to legislate them out of sports, clubs, even using the fucking toilet. There's no middle ground when they're sowing it with salt.
