John Lithgow was hard to disown as a fan. His home town (one I love with my soul) is where I have family and in-laws. One of my man's Aunts used to baby sat man as a child on a regular basis.
I must say, cis people throwing Hugh Laurie, John Lithgow, that dude from Hot Fuzz, and others in the garbage for signing on to JK Rowling stuff makes me feel better about the state of things. Friends and peers supporting trans people over Harry Potter and any fan allegiances. It's good. It's great.

This is my basic go to #vegan cheese sauce, with a few changes🌱
I omit the onions & carrots
I use ground flaxseed instead of cornstarch
Tamari instead of soy
I add 1 tsp ea garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric
Pinch of pepper 🌿

I remember this vividly too, as a youngster curious about the occult. I also remember not being allowed to wear pentacles at school, along with no black clothes or band t-shirts. My school was very liberal and I was shielded from a lot of it. My friends in the public system were not.
I’m old enough to remember when Concerned Mothers of America pressured Hot Topic to stop selling pentacles, tarot cards, & other “occult paraphernalia” because children could shop there & they shouldn’t be “exposed to such dangerous things!”
