Just occured to me that Abiotic Factor seems to be absent from a lot of GOTY shortlists, even indie ones.
Baffling to me as it has not only been an enormous hit, but might be one of the most interesting survival-crafting games ever, especially once you start dimension-hopping.

Easy sales recommendation. A team of AAA veterans (including Bioware & Ubisoft) do a smart, mechanically complex fusion of Shadow of The Colossus, Tears of the Kingdom and a little bit of extraction shooter?

Just finished an incredible FM for The Dark Mod called Iris. It's a layered city map with layered detail and environmental story that could match (or exceed) AAA games and it's all made by one person in a free modern Thief inspired game.
