The myth of supporting "centrist" Democrats as the only candidates that can win in certain areas is exactly that. The Democratic establishment invests time and money to perpetuate it and drown out progressive voices. Weak unprincipled candidates are not the only option or the best option.

I see a lot of hopium on this platform today. There is no quantifiable or logical reason to believe that giving away your leverage will result in Republicans doing anything you think they are obligated to do. Certainly not without a plan to negate it's consequences.
Will Mike Johnson swear in Adelita Grijalva? Democrats didn't even make a deal for him to do THAT.

Schumer is absolutely responsible for this 100%. This does not happen without him. He's the Senate Leader FFS!
There is no Dem who thinks that Schumer voting No washes his hands of it. He is the captain of the ship and owns the process and end result. If he can’t run the team, then someone else needs to. Hopefully the other Dem senators understand the mood of the voters. If not, you will.

When Schumer started this pretend fight I was against it because people need to feel the full weight of Trump's policies, and they need to own it. Waging a fake fight like Schumer and not being prepared to hold your principles is weak and politically disastrous, making Democrats seem complicit.
