I quit my side job today. I’ve been working here more or less constantly since 2014. This was my childhood dream workplace and the place where I got my PhD. Life had other plans and ultimately it’s for the better. But I’m sad, my boss is sad. It feels like leaving home. 💔

i do like to imagine that part of why izzy is so much the way that he is because being a pirate and a first mate specifically is the only time he’s had any level of control over his life & circumstances and so he obviously panicked when all of that started to slip away
