His head hurts and his hands are shaking and everything he touches feels like it might break. It's a familiar feeling. It comes and goes, Ed knows that by now. Gets worse when the days get shorter, gets much worse on anniversaries and holidays and shit like that.

I wasn’t even kidding, he’s having such a terrible time 🥲
He's still losing weight, his breath still coming in shallow gasps through a compressed windpipe. But the hand-shaped marks around his neck are fading and there aren't any new, self-inflicted injuries. No fresh chafing or bruising where he's been strapped to the table by his ankles, wrists and midsection. They've been keeping him calm, the restraints - or at least prevented him from falling to the floor when the medication wears off and the pain makes him restless. But it's taking him longer to settle today, he hasn't stopped writhing and mewling in his fever.

An eye for an eye. It would only be fair. The knife twitches in Silco’s grip, the handle slipping on his sweat-slick palm, blade closing the distance and then there’s a pained gasp, a pinprick of red on Vander’s cheek, slowly bubbling up until gravity wins out and it flows down in a streak of red into Vander’s beard.
