To my friends in Gaza, so sorry I can’t donate to all of you. All I can do is share your campaigns and i’ll do that the best I can.

To everyone else, imagine the indignity of having to beg on social media apps. Sharing helps visibility if you can’t donate and please don’t report them as spam.
My favorite genre is fantasyhorrorromance and I enjoyed this book very much.

Thinking about this photo some more tonight and how all new things in media are old. Lesson re-learned this year is you create publicity moments that signal boost a message to cut through noise. Echoes to civil rights protesters in the '60s and their understanding of the growing power of TV news.
Oh wow @reuters.com got the photo here:

It's Trans Awareness Week! So increase your weekly awareness of us by reading our stories.

(Our books also make great holiday gifts for your conservative relatives you'd like to never speak to you again!)
On that note:

Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day.

Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links.

Cis people who want to complain about being excluded: gtfo
Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?"

So....hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book?

November marks the beginning of Big Depression season for me so I do appreciate the push to tackle projects and accomplish shit I can carry with me into the dark time.

There’ve been others along the way but I wrote this book specifically to be a mirror for me. It’s about coming to terms with otherness, gender issues in a man’s world, finding oneself and figuring out what “normal” means, and discovering happiness after a horrific past. I’m proud of it.

Reading has brought me such great joy in my life, but, damn, has it also caused me terrible pain these last years. Literacy is a path to madness now. Every day, every news story, is an invitation for those of us cursed by the gods with basic reading comprehension to blind ourselves Oedipus-style.

In my experience, the key to dealing with the insecurity of sex, and there's a lot of it at various points with partners of any gender, is having a partner who listens with kindness, respects what works/what doesn't, and realizes that what your body does is not a reflection on them half the time.

Similar to "To Kill a Mockingbird," this book was a window into what racism looks like from someone who's never experienced it themselves, but slowly begins to learn about its reach and the corruption in their community.

It is really getting harder and harder to glibly dismiss the data centre driven growth of demand in the US, which is causing coal growth domestically and impacting the entire planet's emissions

Yes you can present it with a huge denominator to make it look small but that doesn't change the dynamics
Chinese and EU emissions were more or less flat in 2025 (Chinese emissions may have actually declined slightly, but its too early to know for sure: www.carbonbrief.org/...).

US emissions increases drove much of the increase in global emissions in 2025.

If I could Freaky Friday with this man for like 24 hours so he can experience my stupid uterus and meanwhile I’ll punch myself in the face twenty times every hour and when we switch bodies back and he wants something for his face pain I’ll say but it’s a “useless medication” and “unnecessary”
JD Vance calls ibuprofen "useless medication" and implies it's not "necessary, safe and effective."

this is not a novel observation but we live in a world where our leaders are child rapists, meanwhile any human interaction/expression around sex that is NOT taking advantage of another human being against their will is what we are told is ruining the world

this can't keep on like this man

This has been in the back of my mind so much lately. I don't know what to do. I feel helpless. We can't solve this problem within the system that allows it. We cannot keep going like this.

When I was a little kid I wanted to act in movies so fuckin bad and when I got older I envied my friends in theater programs (esp playing opposite genders) but it all seemed so impossibly out of reach and then after realizing all gender is a performance it seems all that angst might’ve been related
I also remember looking at myself in the mirror and often thinking that my body kinda felt like a costume. That always felt strange, but I was also used to that. Still took me some time to fully internalize that no, not all people feel like that about themselves and their bodies
