MPLS is also very much a city of distinct neighborhoods. Life in Kenny is pretty different from Kingfield is different from Bryn Mawr is different from Nordeast. But the overarching theme of “we take care of our neighbors” resonates throughout the metro.

Utilized the Minneapolis bloc! 10/10 recommend; they gifted protection for big humans and smols, and we're SO grateful for the options they've offered us, keeping everyone safe
N95s offer superior protection against flu and Covid.

They can protect your health and the health of those around you.

Many people also find them much more comfortable than surgical masks.

If you can’t afford them, look for your local mask bloc.

If you can afford them, please donate!

M.A. Vecchio was not a college student, a teacher or a journalist. She was a 14yo runaway who was on campus when Jeffrey Miller (20, slain) was gunned down during a protest of the Vietnam war's expansion into Cambodia. This was 50yrs ago. They will kill us because they don't know what else to do.

Pop was a law enforcement officer. He knew most of the local police in the town we lived in. When I got my license at 16, he told me "Don't push these assholes, Tim. They're little men who are looking for a reason to hurt people. Do what they say. These fuckers peeked in high school."

Today's ICE.

"The next time a woman gets caught in the middle of an ICE raid— and there will be a next time. because women are not afraid of these boys playing at fascism —she should be defended by National Guard troops"
The ICE agent who murdered Renee Good must be prosecuted for murder. He enjoys no immunity from state murder charges.
Then, Blue state governors must call up their National Guard to protect us from the armed ICE terrorists.

I mask everywhere to reduce the chances of getting sick. If someone asks me if I’m sick (rare) I say no, I wouldn’t be here if I was - I’m trying not to get sick. I also understand why others may want medical privacy and answer otherwise. or they have to be out sick. diversity of tactics out there.

America, there's something you should know.

The top three kinds of books that young people (under 25) offer to sell me on Dec. 26 are:

- "Chicken Soup for the _____"

- "Oh, the Places You'll Go"

- Books of New Yorker cartoons

I'm just saying. Keep it in mind for graduations and birthdays, too.

This baby would be a welcome addition to our quiet house, but we live too far away! Please don't let this year pass her by without a chance to sleep in a real home.
MELIA is sleeping her days away in the shelter. She didn't get her Christmas wish. But we can make her New Years a great one. Shes a great dog just needs the right home. 💝

It was legal to rape your spouse until the pandemic in MN. Yes, I'm divorced now.
When I wrote about Gisele Pelicot, men screamed “not all men!”

They refused to face the fact that it’s a lot of men & we don’t know who the bad ones are until it’s too late

A woman in Britain was raped & drugged by husband & multiple other men for 13 years

“Not all men” isn’t good enough anymore

Again, we could openly discuss how many femmes have endured penetrative sex *when they didn't want to* because it was inevitably less shitty than refusing..

.. BUT WE KNOW THE PEENS DON'T WANNA.
Believe the women.

That’s literally all we had to do.

We need to believe the victims.

We need to acknowledge how many men are predators.

We need to explore the reasons victims don’t come forward.

We need to take sexual assault more seriously.

We need to punish predators.
