Did you know that different regions of the sun rotate at different rates? The sun is not a solid object, so rotation speeds can and do vary with latitude. The sun rotates once every ~24 days at the equator, and once every ~30 days at the poles!

Solar Rotation Varies by Latitude - NASA
The Sun rotates on its axis once in about 27 days. This rotation was first detected by observing the motion of sunspots.

Did you know all 4 outer solar system planets have rings, not just Saturn? Jupiter‘s rings are divided into 4 sections, Uranus has 13 known rings, and Neptune has 5!

When your professor asks you to create a plot for stellar Teff vs. Mv, and that's too easy, you do it in Python and learn a bit about MatPlotLib :)

Reading (and thoroughly enjoying) “The Possibility of Life” by Jaime Green, and who should appear as a source? @aussiastronomer.bsky.social talking about the #exoplanet archive at JPL and working with creatives to entice readers to read about the new discoveries.

Interactions between scientists, as well as outreach to members of the public, improve extensively from access to good communication tools."

Adding to astronomy feed of the AstroSky Ecosystem (astrosky.eco)
Work hack:

Put common LaTeX commands into the "text replacement" option on a Mac. In the rare case you want to type these literally, you can just use ESC after typing.

(They magically don't interfere with Overleaf, and putting in lower case Greek letters makes upper case work, too!)

Use of the Saturn emoji no longer posts to the exoplanets subfeed.
JWST managed to determine the composition of three planets in the HR 8799 system. They found that the planets are all similarly enriched in heavy elements compared to the star, similar to Jupiter here. A bit surprising considering formation models.
