A perfect illustration of @larryglickman.bsky.social’s point about how reporters treat aggressive campaigns of white resentment as natural phenomena that have no agency or agenda behind them.

Backlash politics is a fact of life! Let’s focus on how liberals must accept it and adjust, like we have!
Real "oh my god, she admit it" moment here. Trump is treated as an uninteresting figure without agency so we can dump endless criticism on liberals for how they react to his "natural disaster." He "doesn't participate in moral frameworks" lmfao

The entire right wing media apparatus is in a rabid frenzy saying every childcare is fraudulent and now people are showing up to random daycare centers demanding to see the children and screaming at daycare workers. This is absolutely insane and I worry this is going to end in a major tragedy.

Part of any sane long-term government reform process must include returning the USPS to its status as a public service that is fully staffed and fully funded. Breaking up and nationalizing Amazon logistics should be part of that.
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

In response to the rise of Trumpism, America’s novelists—or at least their protagonists—retreated to the relative safety of the domestic sphere. The result is a disappointingly depoliticized literature.

something very important for Dems to realize is that the tech overlords are not people you can win back by promising a lighter touch and saying a few nice things

they’ve gotten a taste of mask-off fascism and they are not going back, they don’t want to play nice with the peons anymore
There’s a funny Politico story showing that the latest polling on AI shows 80-20 in favor of heavy regulations, an absolute slam dunk platform, but Dems are worried about not winning back mask-off tech CEO donors

it’s crazy how obvious it is that donald trump has been actively part of the epstein coverup for half a decade now and he’s just still the president
Julie K. Brown is a reporter for the Miami Herald who did groundbreaking work on Epstein beginning in 2018, including groundbreaking work on the disgusting coverup by Alex Acosta.

Her travel itinerary was released with some of the Epstein files. It appears the DOJ was monitoring her in 2019.
