So I finally deactivated my Twitter account that I've had for well over a decade. It breaks my heart, but there's no alternative.

I used it mainly for fantasy football info & reading news articles, and for up-to-the-minute info. My hope is they move here since their reach increasingly limited 1/

Gélineau advanced the term "narcolepsy" in 1880 while de la Tourette described his eponymous syndrome in 1885. "Autism" was coined by Bleuler in 1911, with full diagnoses soon after.

But what do I know? I'm not the Cabinet secretary in charge of the goddamn Department of Health and Human Services.
RFK JR: ADD, ADHD, Tourette syndrome, Narcolepsy, Autism.. All of these are injuries that I never heard of when I was a kid.

This pointless stunt by Cory Booker is accomplishing nothing but drawing attention to the Trump administration’s wrongdoing and delaying the work of the Senate and energizing the Democratic base and, wait, hang on, let me come in again

This is, in large part, pandemic revenge.

As far as these oligarchs are concerned, all science does is tell them stuff they cannot do.

They can't keep spewing carbon.

They can't keep businesses open as usual when millions are dying.

They have concluded that research is the enemy of profit.
Absolute BLOODBATH at HHS/NIH/CDC this morning. Generation of scientists, health care officials being wiped out

Just a reminder: having a functional moral compass right now is going to make you feel bad all the time; don’t mistakenly hate yourself for that.

I can’t believe this has to be said, but: You cannot tell the story of Jackie Robinson—as a ballplayer, serviceman, or human—without discussing our country’s history of racism.

My meeting with the Council on Canada-U.S. Relations was focused on keeping Canada’s economy strong in the face of unjust tariffs.

We’re ready to engage with the U.S. on a comprehensive negotiation — when Canada is shown respect as a sovereign nation.

These are all nice. I want reporters to ask what he will do should SCOTUS 'repeal' birthright citizenship.
Both Marco Rubio's parents were born in Cuba, and not legal residents of the U.S. when he was born. He is here legally only due to birthright citizenship.

ASK THE TOUGH QUESTION &DO YOUR JOB!

I feel as if we're capable of acknowledging that a one-day boycott is mostly symbolic without becoming contemptuous and dismissive of people finding a little meaning and comfort in such a symbol. The scorn seems petty.

Hey, when random guys with no badges and no authority try to grab a protester and drag her away, that's when you put down the phone, get out of your seat, and fucking help her.
During a GOP town hall at Coeur d'Alene High School, Teresa Borrenpohl called out, “Is this a lecture or a town hall?” Witnesses said three unidentified men, who were not wearing badges or ID, then physically removed from her seat by order of the Idaho county sheriff.

No tyrants.

Not now.

Not ever.
NO KINGS is extremely effective because it’s simple, an extremely widely held belief, and gets right to the core of Trump’s assault without having to use words lots of people don’t understand

Exactly @aoc.bsky.social

Wasn't it Lincoln who said you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time? He had us all fooled at the beginning, but his veneer has been clearly washed away to most of us.
They need him to be a genius because they cannot handle what it means for them to be tricked by a fool.

Nope - never going to stop that. My 1st question will always be 'Who did you vote for?' Because this will determine my next response as well as level of empathy/sympathy for them.

It took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic.

When the fire starts to burn, every good person better be ready to man a post with a bucket of water if you want to stop it from raging out of control.
