The year 2025 was challenging for so many reasons but a highlight was leaving a bad job in a toxic work environment for a good job in a place that values my contributions and recognizes my worth.

Only 8 states and DC have minimum salaries for teachers that exceed the minimum salary that ICE is offering to agents. Yet, unlike ICE agents, teachers in every state are required to have a bachelor's degree.

And since white collar crimes like wage theft, tax evasion, and environmental violations are rarely charged, the disparity here should actually be much bigger.
Remember: it is a LIE that immigration is associated with crime (on the contrary), including undocumented.
This isn't said enough. Connecting immigrants to crime is a foundational LIE.

If and when this death cult gets out of power, grappling with how to regain public trust in science will be key (and doing repair for all of the scientists whose grants were cut will also be a huge deal). The amount of destruction to public good is so saddening
