But I'm Mad Now!
Great thread
What Israel is doing is horrific, so it's really hard to talk about. But the way I/P is talked about in America has so much antisemitism and orientalism baked into it. Plus the usual thing that foreign conflicts are just rhetorical devices for domestic disputes.

The ACC had been doing so well in avoiding exactly this kind of disasterous defeat.

Wow.
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

A lot of education discourse is at root an inability to decide whether the purpose of our education system is to 1) teach material and measure learning 2) reward students who work hard 3) separate the smart kids (destined for smart guy jobs) from the dumb kids (destined to serve the smart guys)

Terrible start. Lazy defense, bad offensive decision making

I don't think legacy media is reading the room correctly on the Epstein Files. Many of us are asking why they have ignored this story for the last decade? Why did they dismiss all of us who were concerned that Trump might be compromised? And where is their fucking contrition and apology now?

The fact that we just continue to jack 3’s is what’s keeping Army in the game.

Bad decisions on offense tonight….

I realize we can make all the three were taking, but I really wish we’d go inside a little more

Hey @politico.com. Ben McAdams is not “the only Democrat to represent Utah in federal office this century”.

Jim Matheson was in the US House from ‘01- ‘15.

I mean, you could look it up……

seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

According to @politico.com this morning, Laura Ingraham has a “strong bullshit detector”.

In what parallel universe is this remotely true?

As usual, the story here is "Dems cave" without focusing on WHICH SPECIFIC DEMS ARE CAVING.

Because, at the moment, it looks like a segment of the D caucus, not "The Dems"

This is the way.
Bovino went into popular Carniceria Aguascalientes in heart of Little Village.
“They said they were just here to buy something,” said Elizabeth Gutierrez. “I told them we wouldn’t serve them and escorted them out. Bovino seemed upset, but I don’t care.” www.chicagotribune.com/2025/11/08/c...
Shots fired at immigration agents in Little Village as residents confront Bovino, Border Patrol, authorities say
Community members once again confronted a convoy of Border Patrol agents led by Cmdr. Gregory Bovino as it moved through Chicago’s South Side neighborhoods.

Apparently, the people at @politico.com’s morning newsletter have adopted what I assume to be the GOP/Trump position on the elections this week which is “no big deal, typical off year election, the GOP will be fine if it does more on the economy, not really a sign for future elections”

So, I’m pretty sure no one is gonna take an accountability here, but these commentators were embarrassingly wrong.
My continuing frustration with the coverage of the NJ Governor’s race is the unstated, but completely obvious, decision made to treat this as Ciattarelli’s race to lose.

…in the face of pretty much no evidence that that is true
