"I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next... or the next... or the next... or the... what I'm saying is that I have nine lives, because I'm a cat".
Maximus Decimus Meridius Snuggles was never quite the same after he had past life regression therapy.

If this is true (doubtable), it's very funny that the Bond franchise painted itself into this corner because Daniel Craig insisted they kill him off as a condition of him starring in a fifth film. And they wanted him for a fifth film because they didn't know what else to do with the Bond franchise.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Nicola from Girls Aloud. Who I have met and she did not like me.
I asked this before over at The Old Place and the answers delighted me. So again:

Who is an artist you admire who you suspect would not like you if they met you personally?

I think Peter Dinklage is fantastic. I would absolutely get on his last nerve. He'd be looking for the door while we spoke.

My having a birthday just after Christmas was actually appreciated by my friends who would use my birthday drinks as an excuse to bail from Christmas family tedium. (Now I'm old, so no one gives a fuck about my generation's birthdays any more anyway, so it's fine.)
It should be illegal for people's birthdays to be between the 23rd and 27th of December. If you're born on one of those days, your parents should be legally required to choose either 22nd or 28th as your alternate birthday.

Thinking back to the time I dressed as Hopper from Stranger Things for Hallowe'en, and how this year I could simply adapt it to the actor playing him instead...

It says something of Andrew's degree of privilege that the ultimate possible punishment that can be imagined for him by his peers is to be just like the rest of us.
BREAKING

Prince Andrew will no longer be a Prince of the United Kingdom.

In an extraordinary move, Buckingham Palace has announced that the King is stripping him of that style.

Presumably, he will now be known as Andrew Windsor.

The Palace also stated he has been ordered to leave Royal Lodge.

The end logic of this if you’re in the UK btw is DEFEND THE BBC.

Complain about it, protest bad coverage of course, but we won’t get another institution that makes safe, publicly funded, reliable, human-created, vetted content for kids if we let the BBC get destroyed.
We've reluctantly removed access to YouTube kids. It's now no longer just the odd thing

And obviously completely ignores how creativity thrives in conversation and collaboration, in happy accidents. That some of your best work will be driven by the restrictions placed upon you. Things going wrong forcing you to adapt and think outside the box. Thinking on your feet. Fail. Fail better.
It’s tiresome at this point, but again, their entire pitch is “wouldn’t it be great if there were no such things as talent, craft, and skill,” and what that means is a bland, slop-filled world. www.businessinsider.com/marc-andrees...

The top row of the Peanuts Sunday strip was called the 'throw-away panel'. If there wasn't enough space in the comic section that syndicated it, the top row could be removed and the rest of the comic would still make sense without it. Schulz often used the throw-away panel for private/obscure jokes.

My fondness for the Tron franchise is mainly due to the arcade game I encountered as a kid that would give you an electric shock. (I don’t believe it was actually supposed to do that.)
Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again
