Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.
AI generated content disclosure via Arc Raider's Steam page: The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this: During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team.

I missed this until today but want to share it because it’s great.

I’ve been increasingly conscious of anti-AI witch hunting, as well as the conflations and equivalences tarring legitimate creative tech with the same brush. It’s gonna hurt the fight against Regurgitative AI.

Well, that's my final #Inktober done. I had a great time but Nlnext year I'll have to find a set of challenges that don't come with the kind of baggage this one has.

So, without further ado, here's my collection of doodles from November!

Day 1-4: Mustache, Weave, Crown, Murky

If you ever run into a game that very clearly uses LLMs on @boardgamegeek.com, the best way to combat it is to tag it under “Family” as “AI Generated Illustration”

It would be great if we had a category for generalized LLM usage—but at the least we can kick all of the garbage to the same space. 🎲✂️

In a case of "In order to make an apple pie from scratch", you sometimes you just have to make little guys in order to test out your board game idea.
An eclectic bunch of sci-fi character doodles, mostly aquatic and robotic in nature. Sci fi characters imported into Tabletop Simulator as stands.

Gencon 2025 was a blast! I didn't get too much time on the show-floor, but I got to see a couple of games, most made or recommended by friends and acquaintances who were a delight to meet.

The House Republican reconciliation bill will now ban both surgeries and HRT prescription under Medicaid for all Americans.

Earlier, I posted that it wouldn’t affect HRT. This is incorrect.

I was mistaken, because the bill refers to medications for trans people… as “procedures.”
