I'm seeing mainstream news orgs around the country calling today's action in Minnesota a "protest of immigration enforcement."
Ridiculous framing. It's not a protest against legitimate immigration policy, it's a protest against a paramilitary occupation and ethnic cleansing campaign.

I agree. Just pointing out what their rationale was. Some of these folks are in purple or red districts & are holding on by their fingernails. Of course, if I were in their position, I would proudly risk losing office to be on the right side of history! There’s also a chance that bravery pays off!

Democrats could act like a real opposition party, refusing to validate Trump malfeasance with votes, and setting up a shadow cabinet that regularly communicates how Democrats would be different. But nah.
