Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Very sad to learn the amazing illustration artist Drew Syrian has passed. It also makes me very angry that people like him & Diane Keaton pass away, while other older “people” who are causing immense damage to our society just keep on living….
RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.
His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.
