PSA: Despite being marketed as sapphic fantasy, Cinder House centers on an F/M relationship and has no hints of F/F except for one nasty scene. I found out yesterday by reading the Goodreads reviews of people understandably pissed about the misleading blurb and marketing. This shit is so gross.

Levi needs to learn to open up, let people in, admit when he’s in over his head and ask for help, even from folks he might not necessarily like. At the same time he can’t die, Death herself is making sure of that, so why not just throw himself at a wall until he sticks?

I love researching, but more than that: I love worldbuilding!!! Moving each tiny piece into place and weaving it into the background in a way that makes a fictional setting feel real is one of my favorite things to do! That and building side characters!

I love researching, but more than that: I love worldbuilding!!! Moving each tiny piece into place and weaving it into the background in a way that makes a fictional setting feel real is one of my favorite things to do! That and building side characters!

In a lot of ways I’m building my fantasy world from scratch, though I am pulling from the real world for the geography. It helps that I grew up in the Midwest, and lived both in the Rockies and the American southwest.

Dragon Age will always have its fingers in my fantasy writing. For my Western Fantasy Wip I’m definitely drawing some level of inspo from Fallout: NV for the general idea (courier carrying something that a lot of people want) and DunMeshi for the way the different fantasy races interact.
