Materialism can't answer these 10 questions without borrowing the metaphysical structure it denies exists.

Every dodge reveals the same problem: physics presupposes what materialism claims it generates.

Thread 🧵
The Nursing Shortage is a policy choice. By importing staff from red-list countries, the gov creates a safety valve that ignores the 35% drop in local applicants. They don’t need to undercut wages when they can just bypass domestic market to avoid fixing pay + retention.
Classic fiat economic scam.
My area of experience is in nursing, rather than medical staff.
In the case of nurses, “our own people” can’t fill the vacancies.
The rate of nurses leaving the profession is higher than replacement rate from training.

Expect more well-poisoning, character assassination, name calling and ad-hom from the technocrat Left, and of course, zero actual good faith engagement with the arguments.

Fascinated by the myth-making from Leftist Americans on here. This one's pretending Democrats are being persecuted for criticising the admin or something... Bizarre.

So he commented something at me and then blocked.

I'm forever amazed at the Left's inability to engage in rational argument. The moment they hear something that runs contra to their received opinion, they block. Cult behaviour.

Sunder never explains why, if Fabian technocrats can say 'millions must come' and engineer such against the democratic wishes of the public, that 'millions must go' is somehow taboo?
Lowe makes clear that "millions must go" is his central argument

Ironically, this is junk science bias confirmation. Sampling Bluesky to prove people like Bluesky is like surveying a lifeboat to prove the ship is empty. The data reflects the enthusiasm of early adopters, not the utility for the average researcher.

Recurring Bsky group superiority schema:

If your political tribe is definitionally “the evidence-based one,” then opponents become morally + cognitively illegitimate.

That’s why the Nazi comparisons proliferate, because they’re the fastest available outgroup-dehumanisation shortcut.
I know the Nazis tried to deploy a scientific basis for their antisemitism and their white nationalism but the reality is that science and fascism are and always will be inherently at odds.

Sunder deplying the fog machine again: find extreme fringe actors to contaminate & you can quarantine the arguments. Helen Lewis calls it nutpicking: foregrounding the worst online enthusiasts instead of engaging the actual policy argument.

More importantly, racial tension in -->
Rupert Lowe wants Restore Britain to be a national party, competing to offer an agenda further right of Reform. (It will be closer to a 2-4% proposition than 10%. There are several < 1% parties in this space like Advance UK & others)

Interesting the amount of hatred Helen Lewis gets on Bsky for questioning the trans cult.
Pairs of problematic people who I keep forgetting are two distinct people:

Jonathan Haidt & Jonathan Chait

Ross Douthat & Rod Dreher

Helen Lewis & Helen Joyce

How do people learn this gibberish?
February 14, 2026 at 5:15 AM
@jonathanfreedland.bsky.social : protecting the Managerial Project from being accurately described.
He must categorise the term "colonisation" as "racism," because if its recognized as a sovereignty-level structural event, the Project’s lack of democratic consent becomes a terminal liability.

One week Starmer is saying there is no problem with free speech in the UK, despite highest arrests in the West.
Next week he's demanding a private person apologise for having a perfectly legitimate opinion.

The absurdity never ends.
February 14, 2026 at 12:03 AM
When asked to make a rational argument instead of name calling, this is the auto-immune response to dissent.

I particularly like 'deliberately contrarian manner' as a characterisation for 'presenting an counter-argument I'm unable to refute'. Lol even.

Sunder is attempting to stabilise a collapsing semantic perimeter with:
Category policing: declare certain descriptions linguistically illegitimate

Motivation laundering: attribute extremist intent via associative chain

Perception management: insist trends are already reversing/concern is lagging
February 13, 2026 at 4:35 PM
The trick they play is to call the description of the process (Colonisation) a "racist trope," while calling the mechanism of the process (State Multiculturalism) "conspiracy."

The UK state has been explicit about its multicultural doctrine for decades. From Blairs 1997 pivot to 'managed migration'
Asylum is logically different to immigration.

Lets say the state is "the facilitator of the demographic flip". Lets go full conspiracy theory and say UK state is actively following a multicultural agenda.

That's not colonisation.
